Welcome to Dualis ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you understand how your information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use our mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Images: When you use our camera feature to capture homework problems, we process these images to provide solutions. The photo itself is not stored on our servers; the problem text and the answer are saved to your History so you can study them again, until you delete them.
• Voice Input: If you dictate a message, your phone’s built-in speech recognition (from Apple or Google) turns it into text. We never receive or store the audio.
• Account Information: Dualis has no email accounts: it signs you in anonymously with a random identifier, which links your History and subscription to this installation.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including features used, session duration, and problem types.
• Device Information: We collect device identifiers, operating system version, and device model for analytics and troubleshooting.
• Purchase Information: If you subscribe to Dualis Pro, we receive transaction confirmations from Apple. We do not have access to your payment card details.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our homework solving services
• Process your images and generate educational solutions
• Manage your subscription and provide customer support
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the App
• Send important notices about your account or subscription
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our App:

3.1 Google AI (Gemini)

To solve a problem, Dualis sends what you submit — the homework photo you take or pick, the text of a saved problem you study again, and any message you type or dictate to the tutor — to Google's Gemini AI through Google Cloud (Vertex AI). From the autumn 2026 update on, the App asks for your permission before sending anything the first time; you can withdraw it at any time in Settings > AI & Privacy, and without it nothing is sent. Under Google Cloud's terms for Vertex AI, Google does not use this content to train its models. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for more information.

If you report an AI answer (for example as offensive or wrong), we receive the reason you chose and, where one exists, an identifier of the answer through Firebase Analytics — not the answer's text or anything you typed.

3.2 Firebase (Google)

We use Firebase for authentication, data storage, and analytics. Data processed through Firebase is subject to Firebase's Privacy Policy.

3.3 RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes purchase data to verify subscriptions. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:

• Problem History: Saved problems are retained until you delete them or your account.
• Usage Analytics: Aggregated analytics data is retained for up to 24 months.
• Account Data: Retained until account deletion is requested.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
• Secure cloud infrastructure provided by Google Cloud
• Regular security assessments and updates

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
• Opt-out: Disable analytics collection in your device settings

7. Children's Privacy

Dualis is designed for students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
