Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Dualis mobile application ("App") operated by Kastalia ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Dualis, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Dualis is an AI-powered educational application that helps students solve homework problems. The App provides:
- Scholar Mode: Step-by-step guided learning through interactive questions
- Lightning Mode: Direct solutions with explanations
- Support for various subjects including mathematics, science, and more
- Problem history and review features
3. Subscription Terms
3.1 Dualis Pro Subscription
Dualis offers a premium subscription service ("Dualis Pro") with monthly and yearly plans. Current pricing is displayed within the app at the time of purchase.
3.2 Subscription Benefits
Dualis Pro subscribers receive:
- Unlimited problem solving
- Access to all learning modes
- Step-by-step solutions for all subjects
- Priority support
- Full problem history
3.3 Billing and Renewal
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan
- You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store Account Settings after purchase
3.4 Free Trial
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
3.5 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store Account Settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to Dualis Pro features until the end of your paid period.
3.6 Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. To request a refund, please contact Apple Support directly through reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. User Responsibilities
4.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use Dualis only for lawful educational purposes. You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Submit content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Attempt to circumvent any security features of the App
- Use the App to cheat on supervised examinations or tests where prohibited
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use automated systems to access the App
4.2 Academic Integrity
Important: Dualis is designed as a learning tool to help you understand concepts and solve problems. Users are responsible for adhering to their school's academic integrity policies. Using Dualis to complete assignments in violation of academic honesty rules is not permitted.
4.3 Content You Submit
You retain ownership of any images or content you submit to the App. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing our services.
5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Kastalia and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our written permission.
6. AI-Generated Content
Solutions and explanations provided by Dualis are generated using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy:
- AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors
- Solutions are provided for educational purposes only
- We recommend verifying important answers with additional sources
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of any AI-generated content
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KASTALIA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR ACADEMIC STANDING, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kastalia, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
10. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any features at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe:
- Violates these Terms
- Is harmful to other users or the App
- Is fraudulent or illegal
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Kastalia regarding your use of the App.
